Value Added Courses

The College offers different value-added courses for the student teachers. Each course is of 30 hours duration and a term end assessment is carried out with internal 30% and external 70%. The minimum criteria for a pass is 50%. After successful completion of the course, certificates are awarded with grades.

Certificate Course on Classroom Technology (CCT)

The objective of the course is to produce qualified manpower in the area of Classroom teaching with technology, which will enable such person to work seamlessly at any Educational Organization, whether Govt. school / Private school / College or for future entrepreneurs in the field of teaching in the digital world.

Certificate Course on Library Management (CLM)

The objective of the course is to promote and defend the core values of the library and information processing,Managing the storage, organization, access, retrieval, dissemination and preservation of information and enabling free access and use of information, to undertake systematic review of reference services designed both to adapt to changes in facilities and technology and to improve quality of service delivered.

Certificate Course on Physical Fitness (CPF)

The objective of the course is to know about the various health components of fitness, to recognize the physical and mental benefits of increased activity and to determine the factors involved with development, fitness levels and training strategies. The students will develop an appreciation of physical activity as a lifetime pursuit and a means to better health.

Certificate Course on Guidance & Counselling (CGC)

The objective of the course is to explain the nature, purpose, scope and need of guidance and counselling in schools, select appropriate approach(es) and technique(s) for dealing with given case and identify the behaviour problems of children.

Certificate Course on Health Education and Nutrition (CHN)

Health education and Nutrition is not to impart knowledge only, but, to reinforce or change behaviour and practices among student’s community. Education is also necessary for helping individuals to select the best diet possible from the food available, whether it is home-produced or must be purchased, often within limited funds. Finally, it is essential that students gain an appreciation of the therapeutic value of food and its role in the maintenance of health.

Certificate Course on Communicative English (CCE)

English language is an international medium of communication. The English language is a key factor in gaining access to many fields, career or in terms of knowledge. English language is universally acceptable, it dominates other languages because of its power of communication. Communicative English is important as it help students to value their education, in a meaningful way. Strengthening communication skills in English is necessary, and is a powerful tool that can be used for professional development. English is an art that can only be mastered by practice and with such command, one can easily communicate with others on any level.
